This April will be the Greek myth of Persephone, a myth that explores the question of good and evil, the spring cycle of rebirth, and overcoming difficult obstacles. The myth of Persephone dates back to Ancient Greece, but has also been addressed by the likes of Ovid, Shakespeare, Slyvia Plath, and many more. She has also found recent popularity in the Broadway musical “Hadestown”, and the comic “Lore Olympus”. All of these writings will be sources for our storytelling and inspiration for our devising. This camp is a great opportunity for students interested in ANY of the following: musical theater performance, non- musical performing, writing, stagecraft and backstage management, puppetry, and musical composition.
