SERVICES FOR STUDENTS IN NEED OF SUPPORT
The Redhouse offers in-house youth experiences for students of all abilities. We want to ensure that all students, no matter their learning style, are able to engage with the arts. If your student has a 504 or IEP, or needs additional support in the leaning environment, you can request additional instructional support for your child by contacting Education Department administration.
Student Services are provided in partnership with CNY ASA and Arc of Onondaga.

Summer Workshops

@ Redhouse Arts Center
Redhouse Ed. Dept. in collaboration with the Redhouse Artistic Team will hold one-day workshops to get you ready for camps to begin!
Ages 13+ *Between the ages of 10-13, admission is based on experience
One Day: $80
All Three Days: $200
July 5th, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM: Vocal and Instrumental Study – This one-day workshop will focus on music performance. Singer-songwriters and musical theater performers are welcome!
July 6th, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM: Dance Study – This one-day workshop will focus on various styles of dance from hip hop to fosse.
July 7th, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM: Character Study, taught by Artistic Director, Temar Underwood – This workshop will focus primarily on acting with a specific focus on developing a fully realized embodiment of the character.
Single or Two Day Registration – $80 per day
All Three Days Registration – $200 Total
Redhouse Musical Theater & Open Hand Theater’s Circus Camp presents… Seussical the Musical, Jr!

Our Summer 2023 production for this camp is Seussical the Musical, Jr! In collaboration with Open Hand Theatre, students will experience a full production process: learning and rehearsing music, choreography, staging, intermingled with puppetry, stilting, and other circus effects that enhance the overall performance. This camp is designed for students who have a passion for musical theater with some previous show experience.

Advanced Teen Camp presents… Rock of Ages: Teen Edition

Ages 13+ (for those interested between the ages of 10-13, admission is based on experience)
This summer will be the second year for our Advanced Studies program for our teens, ages 13 and up! They will be working with industry-leading Arts Education professionals to improve their current skills while building their confidence as they navigate through their performance style. This camp is best designed for teens with previous show experience.

MASHUP

Ages 10-17
One of our most popular camps is back for another year! Mashup is designed for beginners, intermediate, or advanced performers. With the guidance from our professional Teaching Artists, students will create their own original performance showcase inspired by pop culture trends of the year! This camp will expose students to a little bit of everything: dance, music, acting, writing, and design.

All musicians are welcome no matter what instrument they play! With direction from leading musicians and performers from around Central New York, students will write their own original compositions and record them in our studio then tour to popular Syracuse landmarks to showcase their music. The camp is best designed for students with experience in their instrument.

Littles at Skä•noñh

@ Skä•noñh Great Law of Peace Center
Littles will participate in dance/movement, art, theatre, and recreational arts classes while simultaneously learning and celebrating Haudenosaunee history and culture. All classes will be held at the Center in Liverpool and led by Redhouse professional artists and Skä•noñh educators. At the end of the week, students will showcase what they learned through performance!

This camp is designed for our little performers who are showing early interest in performance of any kind! Little ones will try their hand at a variety of arts activities with our professional teaching artists including singing, dancing, acting, and crafts to inspire creativity and build stage comfortability. While at Redhouse they will get to experience performing on a professional stage while learning the ins and outs of a mini rehearsal process.

This camp is similar to Little Superstars but will take place at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo! Little ones will be able to experience a variety of arts activities such as dancing, singing, and acting with our professional teaching artists. During the day the kiddos will also be able to enjoy fresh air outside while visiting the animals and taking walks together!

Littles by The Lake! at Green Lakes State Park

Little ones will be able to experience a variety of arts activities inspired by the world around them at Green Lakes State Park! This program provides a fun and exciting exploration of the arts using hiking and nature activities as their inspiration. Students experience dance/movement, art, theatre, and recreational arts classes at our dedicated learning site, led by professional artists and educators. At the end of the week, students will showcase what they learned through performance!
