Join us for a free weekend of new works! Redhouse presents ELEVEN groundbreaking new plays that feature emerging voices and underrepresented perspectives. With a focus on local and national playwrights, BabelFest represents an opportunity for Redhouse and Syracuse to add its influence to the robust national theater scene. A new play festival that provides a platform for emerging playwrights to develop their work can put Syracuse’s dynamic theater community on the map.

  An evening of eight 10-minute plays through a local search curated by the Redhouse Artistic An intentional focus on local artists, this evening is a recreation of the vibrant, edgy, and celebratory atmosphere most associated with the heyday of the arts and culture scene of downtown New York City.

  A diverse collection of four nationally renowned playwrights will conduct individual seminars/workshops at Redhouse. An intimate setting with no more than 25 slots available for each seminar/workshop, participants will have the opportunity to gain insights into the playwriting craft.

• The Community Babel
