Enrichment Teacher Job Description
Contract Position
This position is contractual beginning on the first day of employment and ending in June of each year, with the possibility of renewal pending positive performance review and continued funding.
Job Summary
Red House Arts Center, Inc. (Redhouse) is a professional, not-for-profit theater serving the community by providing leading and inclusive experiences through its theater and educational programs.
The After School Enrichment Teacher will plan and implement coursework in the areas of art, music, cooking and other project-based activities while also ensuring the development of students’ creativity and a classroom community.
Salary
$31.67/hour
Specific Duties
- Oversee implementation of curriculum for in-class learning through the arts
- Work alongside the Education Department in order to ensure effective and efficient implementation of program curriculum and material dissemination
- Assist in the creation of all reports, records, and other paperwork as required by School District Partners, as needed
- Provide feedback and guidance to students that ensures program goals and outcomes are achieved
- Promote effective communication that encourages openness, creativity, and solution-oriented teamwork in response to hurdles
- Provide insight and methods to help other members of your team
- Other mission-based duties, as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in education, or commensurate experience
