Parking: The City Center Parking Garage is unavailable for parking. Please find street parking and enter through our front entrance.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to high interest in our 26/27 Season auditions, we’ve moved to a request-based process for virtual auditions.

If You Plan to Attend the Local In-Person Audition at Redhouse in Syracuse

Please review the entire audition page. Then fill out the form to schedule your audition appointment. Once done you will be emailed an audition appointment date and time within 2 business days. In-person auditions are intended for local performers that do not require housing. Housing is not provided for performers cast from local in-person auditions. 

PLEASE NOTE THAT IN-PERSON CALLBACKS FOR ANNIE, A RAISIN IN THE SUN, TWELFTH NIGHT THE MUSICAL*, AND URINETOWN WILL BE SCHEDULED AT A LATER DATE.  IN-PERSON CALLBACKS FOR EVERYBODY WILL BE SCHEDULED ON SATURDAY, APRIL 11 AFTER 5pm.

IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND CALLBACKS IN PERSON, A VIRTUAL CALLBACK OPTION WILL BE AVAILABLE.

*Twelfth Night the Musical is part of Redhouse’s Theatre Experience Series, which engages adults and teens of all abilities from our surrounding communities in immersive, process-oriented theatre productions that celebrate the diverse community of Central New York. Artists from Arc of Onondaga, high school students, college students, teaching artists and actors come together annually to bring audiences a story that promotes true inclusiveness.

For Performers Outside of Central New York 

Auditions for performers outside of Central New York require an invitation to submit a virtual audition. Please email submissions@theredhouse.org with your headshot and resume to request an invitation to submit an audition. Unsolicited audition videos will not be considered.

For Those That Can’t Attend In-Person Auditions

In-person audition slots are limited and fill quickly. If you are a local performer that does not require housing and are unable to get an audition slot or are generally unavailable to attend in-person auditions, please email submissions@theredhouse.org with your headshot and resume to request a virtual audition link.

If Auditioning for All Shows

Please prepare 16 bars of classic or contemporary musical theater or contemporary rock/pop music and a short contrasting contemporary monologue (1 minute or less).

If Auditioning for Musicals Only

Please prepare 16 bars of classic or contemporary musical theater or contemporary rock/pop music and a short contrasting contemporary monologue (1 minute or less).

If Auditioning for Plays Only

Please prepare two contrasting contemporary monologues. (1 minute or less each)

Additional Audition Information

Local Non-Equity performers cast in a production are paid a stipend between $150-$300/week depending on the role and production for both rehearsal and performance weeks.

Student (under age 18) performers cast in a production are volunteers, but can list their role as a professional credit on their resume and will receive two comp tickets to every performance.

Local AEA performers cast in a production will receive the Single Engagement – Category 2 minimum weekly salary for both rehearsal and performance weeks.

Non-Equity performers that live outside of Central New York cast in a production will be provided round-trip travel to and from Syracuse and housing for the duration of their stay, with a stipend between $500-$700/week depending on the role and the production for both rehearsal and performance weeks.

AEA performers that live outside of Central New York cast in a production will be provided round-trip travel to and from Syracuse, housing for the duration of your stay, the Single Engagement – Category 2 minimum weekly salary and per diem for both rehearsal and performance weeks.
