New Works Festival
The New Works Festival is an extraordinary opportunity to have a new play or musical receive a two-week developmental workshop at the acclaimed Redhouse Arts Center. The new works are presented as an informal reading at music stands or minimal staging. Each performance is followed by a talkback between the audience, cast and creative teams, which provides for lively discussions and feedback that are crucial to the development of new shows.
Redhouse looks for New Works that are challenging, diverse and that reflect our community. We seek groundbreaking new plays and musicals that feature new voices and new perspectives from around the country. The festival is curated by respected arts leaders in the Central New York area. One new play and one new musical are selected for two public staged readings at Redhouse Arts Center.
