SUMMARY:R.O.C.K. Academy
DESCRIPTION:Turn up the volume on creativity in this immersive two-week music academy where young musicians come together to Record Original songs\, Collaborate with fellow artists\, and Kickstart their careers. Students will form bands\, write original music\, rehearse with guidance from professional musicians\, and record their tracks in our studio. \nThroughout the academy\, participants will strengthen their instrumental skills\, build confidence as songwriters\, and gain hands-on experience with gear\, sound setups\, and studio techniques. They’ll also learn the essentials of performing professionally—how to prepare for a gig\, protect equipment\, work with a venue\, and present themselves as emerging artists. \nThe program culminates in community performances and a final concert in our main theater space. Every student leaves with polished recordings of their work\, new connections\, and the knowledge and skills needed to take their musicianship to the next stage. \nDATES: August 10 – 21 (Monday-Friday\, 9-5)\nAGES: 13-17
